Length of Course
The Electrical Technician course is 600 clock hours and takes 20 weeks.
Objectives
The objective of this 600-hour Electrical Technician Training Program is to prepare students with the foundational knowledge, technical skills, and safety practices required for entry-level employment in the electrical trade within the state of Florida. Students will develop competency in Electrical Technician theory, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable state regulations. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory training, students will learn to safely install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems. Emphasis is placed on proper tool usage, code compliance, workplace safety, and industry-standard practices.

Schedule: Hybrid
Campus Days for hands-on: Monday and Tuesday, 9:00am–4:30pm
Online Theory: 15hrs/wk.
Graduates
Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to:
- Enter the workforce as electrician helpers or apprentices
- Demonstrate safe and code-compliant work habits
- Interpret basic electrical plans and specifications
- Perform installations and basic troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Progress toward licensure through on-the-job experience and examination
